A lay leader once said, “Pastors don’t run the church...people do.” LIFT’s response to that is: “Pastors are people, too!” And pastors who continue to answer the call of the Holy Spirit need to pause and and tend to their spiritual needs as well as those of the congregation. LIFT has designed opportunites to assist pastors throughout the church year. An annual “Reading Week for Lectionary Preachers” is structured time set aside to read through the gospel passages and to set your preaching ministry for the upcoming lectionary year. More information can be found in the “Upcoming Events” on the front page. LIFT also offers coaching and retreat opportunites for individual pastors, designed especially for you. Twice yearly, the “Pastors Studio” is open to provide a day for local clergy to hone the craft of their ministry. The theme varies each time and is relevant to the concerns of pastors at any stage of their ministry. Pastors need to worship, too. LIFT’s desire is to provide opportunites for pastors and their congregations to worship together and be renewed by inviting LIFT to design a meaningful multi-day worship / evangelism event at your church.
